SCORPIONS ANNOUNCING NEW STUDIO ALBUM

& WORLD TOUR 2022
CELEBRATING 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR DEBUT ALBUM
LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY KICKS OFF WORLD TOUR
INCLUDING SIX SHOWS IN THEIR HOMELAND GERMANY
The legendary rock band is returning with a new album and world tour! In February 2022 the SCORPIONS will release their 19th studio album “Rock Believer” followed by a world tour. During the pandemic the band retreated to the studio in their German hometown in Hanover and started working on new songs. Klaus Meine explains, why the new songs are as brisky and powerful as their 80ies albums: “We recorded the album as a band live in one room, like we did back in the 80ies.”
2022 is a very special year indeed: 50 years earlier, on January 22nd, 1972, the SCORPIONS released their spectacular debut and started their international career.
The SCORPIONS will kick off their “Rock Believer World Tour” in Las Vegas, where the band will play their residency at the Planet Hollywood Hotel from March, 26th until April, 16th 2022. Afterwards they will cross the Atlantic and head to Europe, where they will play in nine countries, including six shows in Germany. “We had so much energy and fun recording the album and can’t wait to finally play live again,” says Matthias Jabs and Klaus Meine explains: “We have never had such a long touring break as we had during the pandemic. That of course increased our appetite, so that we are looking forward now to go back on tour again”.
The legendary band will be also back to Hungary, they will be live on May 30, 2022 at Budapest Arena!
The SCORPIONS are Germany’s number one rock band and one of the most important European rock bands of the last decades. To date, the SCORPIONS have sold over 120 million records, played over 5000 concerts, countless awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock Walk of Fame and created timeless classics such as “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, “Still Loving You” and “Wind Of Change”.
Tickets for the Budapest show will be available from 10am October 1. Pre-sale opportunity is live for members of the Scorpions fan club & the registered Live Nation members from 10am September 30.
